01.09.2020 – Imperiale Racing’s weekend in Imola for the second round of the Italian GT Championship Endurance 2020 ended a few laps after the start.
The Mirandola-based team secured the podium in Mugello and reached the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit with a renewed drivers lineup behind the wheel of the #32 Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 Evo: Kikko Galbiati (ITA) and Giovanni Venturini (ITA) were in fact joined by Alex Frassineti (ITA) who was at his comeback.
The drivers displayed a great feeling and worked well to improve the car on this circuit. The great teamwork produced its fruits in qualifying where Venturini-Galbiati-Frassineti claimed the second place in a very hard-fought session closed with the combined time of 5:06.907s, that earned them the start from the front row. The performance in qualifying highlighted the competitiveness of the #32 Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 Evo that has been very reactive and quick with all the three drivers behind the wheel.
After a good start, the race ended a few laps in when the car beached at the Rivazza corner.
Luca Del Grosso (Imperiale Racing – Team Manager):
“We had all that it takes to play for the win after the great performance completed in qualifying. The car has been perfect, we did a few changes following the data we collected even before this weekend and the drivers had a great feeling with our Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 Evo. On Saturday we completed a very strong performance and we will work to confirm this speed in Vallelunga: there is no more room for mistakes now”.
