28.04.2023 – Imperiale Racing confirms its participation in the 2023 Italian GT Endurance Championship with a second Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 Evo and announces the hiring of Jack Bartholomew (UK) and Miguel Garcia (PAR), who will form the crew together with a third driver who will be announced shortly.

The Italian team has worked with great determination to devise a double program in the endurance GT championship, and the goal is to confirm the position as one of the top teams in a series that, in recent years, has always seen Imperiale Racing stand out in the fight for the podium.

Bartholomew, born in 1998, is a driver who has achieved many important results with the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand, with which he has collected some of the most important results of his career, especially in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. Third in the Middle East Series in 2017, won it in 2018 and finished second in the Asian Series 2019 and third in the European Series 2019. It should be noted that at the beginning of his career, after his successes with karts, he was also the vice-champion of the British GT Championship in 2016, and he finished second in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain 2021. He will be making his debut in GT3.

Garcia, a young Latin American driver, who will also be a rookie in the category, has decided to make his debut in European competitions with Imperiale Racing to enhance his experience in light of the great competence of the Italian team. After karting, he contested some races in Formula Atlantic, moving to touring cars in 2021 with TC2000 Argentina and also in Super TC2000 Argentina last year.

Jack Bartholomew:
“I’m really happy to be back with Lamborghini after 3 years, as I spent most of my career with this brand. I can’t wait to start my first season in a GT3 car with Imperiale Racing in the Italian GT Championship. It will be motivating to work with new teammates, we’ve done the first tests and I can’t wait to get on the track for the first race at Pergusa. Thanks to Lamborghini, my partners, and Imperiale Racing for this opportunity.”

Miguel Garcia:
“I am extremely happy and grateful to Imperiale Racing for giving me the first opportunity to race in GT3. The first test outing was extremely positive and made us understand that if we work together, it will be a successful partnership. We have a fun year ahead of us, and I’m sure this will be the first of many.”

Luca Del Grosso (Team Manager):
“We are very happy to announce the second Endurance crew and to continue the path we started last year, working on the junior program and giving space to young drivers. We have achieved great satisfaction with the rookies, also in light of a strengthening of our training structure with the simulator created together with SIM Maranello, which allows us to translate the data collected on the track into the digital world and allows drivers to continue their work once they get out of the car. The level of the Sprint will be as high as ever, but I’m sure Jack and Miguel will find great harmony and will be able to express their full potential. Together with them, we will also have a third driver with whom we are finalizing the last details and we will announce the name shortly.”

The CIGT Endurance season will start on May 19-21 at Pergusa.
