06.08.2020 – Imperiale Racing will get back on track for the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2020 this coming weekend at the Misano World Circuit. This is going to be the opener of the 2020 campaign of the series reserved to the Lamborghini Huracàn Super Trofeo Evo.
The team based in Mirandola will compete in this one-off participation in the Italian round of international 2020 competitions as happened two weeks ago at the GT World Challenge powered by AWS – Endurance Cup. In this occasion the Italian team will bring two cars: the #44 driven by the PRO drivers Vito Postiglione (ITA) and Kikko Galbiati (ITA), that came second in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2019 and the #88 driven by Hans Fabri (NL) in LC.
For Imperiale Racing this is going to be a happy return to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, the series in which it has always been shining. Twelve months ago in Misano the challenge ended with two one-twos and a double win for Postiglione-Galbiati. The performance in race-two was also completed by the grand chelem that included the pole position and the fastest lap of the race.
The challenge for this 2020 round will kick off on Friday with two free practice sessions at 14:40 and 20:05. The quest for the two pole positions will be on Saturday with Q1 at 14:20 and Q2 at 14:50. The first race will take place on Saturday at 20:45 in the evening light, while the second will be on Sunday at 13:20 in what is announced to be a torrid afternoon. All times are GMT+2.
Both races will be available in live streaming from the Facebook and YouTube pages of Lamborghini Squadra Corse.
Luca Del Grosso (Imperiale Racing – Team Manager):
“Imperiale Racing’s history is deeply bound to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe and even though this season is quite atypical as we know, taking part in this Italian round will give us a lot of pride. The challenge will be on a very high level and technically it will be quite hard as we will be facing two races in different conditions: the first in the evening and the second in the hottest hours of Sunday. Drivers will have to do good tyre management, but we are ready to give our best to increase our prize list”.
