22.02.2022 – Imperiale Racing unveiled today, on its web and social channels, the new livery that will be used in the Italian GT Sprint and Endurance 2022 Championships, two series in which the Italian team has always been shining in.

The graphic design of the Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 Evo completely breaks the schemes of the past few seasons and the new livery will involve the whole brand identity of Imperiale Racing in the forthcoming season. The concept is based on dynamism and performance: an arrow-shaped design combines grey, green and a new touch of light-blue separates the front from the rear of the car. A new light-grey motif has been added to the front-end of the car and is combined with the aggressive pearl-black at the rear that highlights the lines and the edges of the aerodynamic components of the car.

The car will debut on track on Thursday, February 24th in Misano in a first testing session with Sascha Tempesta (ITA) and Simone Iacone (ITA) sharing driving duties. The two make up this season’s Sprint lineup with the racing number 11. The pairing comes from a very positive season 2021 in the Italian GT on the cars made in Sant’Agata Bolognese and will be at the debut with Imperiale Racing, even though Iacone competed for the Mirandola-based team back in 2011 taking a podium and a GT Cup win.

Sascha Tempesta, class 1984, resumed his adventure as a driver last year. In his career, he built a lot of experience first. He then got behind the wheel of Formula Renault cars before switching to the Italian GT Endurance Championship in a Seat Leon and competing on a Lamborghini Gallardo Cup in the 2014 Italian GT Cup ending second.

Iacone, class 1984, won the Alfa 147 Cup Italy 2003, the European Alfa Challenge 2004, the Castrol SEAT Leon Supercopa 2010 and the Clio Cup Italia 2015. His prize list includes also second place in the Italian GT Cup 2014 and Renault Clio Cup Italia in the same year.

Luca Del Grosso (Team Manager):
”The beginning of a new adventure always gives us a boost of confidence. As said last year at the end of the season, victory is our goal. We are proud of this new livery, it is sleek and aggressive. It mirrors our grit at the eve of this new challenge. This initial testing session in Misano is going to be crucial. I welcome Sascha and Simone to the team: I am certain we will do good things together”.
