18.03.2022 – Imperiale Racing is all set to contest a high-profile season and, after the confirmed participation in the Italian GT Championship, it announces its presence also in the international competition Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2022.

The Mirandola-based team has always been among the strongest contenders in the single-make series dedicated to the cars built in Sant’Agata Bolognese and will field two Lamborghini Huracàn Super Trofeo Evo 2 in this championship: the #88 will be driven by the exiting LB Cup Champion Hans Fabri (NL) and the #89 by the rookie Manuel Bejarano (ESP).

Fabri comes from what is certainly his best season so far. He has been competing for Imperiale Racing since 2018 and won the LB Cup for two years in a row (2020 and 2021). The Dutch driver has constantly improved his feeling with the Lamborghini Huracàn Super Trofeo and became one of the strongest drivers in the LB Cup where the most excellent gentlemen compete with each other.

Bejarano, class 1993, will make his debut on a GT car. In his career, he came to the fore in several Spanish national karting competitions and in some prestigious international races like the Andrea Margutti Trophy. In 2011 he switched to formula racing in the F3 European Open where he scored podiums and victories enhanced by success in the Spanish Formula BMW championship despite continuing his karting experience too. Bejarano’s debut in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with Imperiale Racing follows the path that some of his young colleagues have gone through in this series with the Italian team to boost their growth on the international scene.

Season 2022 will kick off for both drivers on April 1st in Imola. This will be the debut on track of the new Lamborghini Huracàn Super Trofeo Evo 2 which is the absolute protagonist of this single-make series. The work of Lamborghini’s engineers provided radical aerodynamic and design improvements which make this car the strongest challenger ever designed for this single-make championship.

Luca Del Grosso (Team Manager):
“We are back to the Super Trofeo Europe with two cars and we are very excited about this. Hans is a certainty, we have been very successful with him in the past few years: we won two LB Cup titles and I believe that this new season, which is so full of novelties, will also be full of satisfaction too. I wish to send Manuel a big welcome to the team, we are so proud of having him on board. The challenge he decided to take on with us in this debut in GT racing is a very big one, we have a growth path ahead of us and are very resolute to get it underway”.

Hans Fabri (driver):
“To me, continuing my experience with Imperiale Racing is a great satisfaction. We obtained good results together and staying with the team was the logical next step after winning the past two editions of the LB Cup. The aim is to try and confirm ourselves as the protagonists and successfully continue our collaboration”.

Manuel Bejarano (driver):
“I am really excited to be part of this great team, Imperiale Racing. Very happy working with them since it is like a big family, we hope this year to have a great progression in my first season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. We will be giving the maximum to be as high as possible on the table! I want to thank my sponsors, my Spanish family and my Guatemalan family for this opportunity, without them this would not be possible. Let’s go for all!”
