15.04.2021 – The opening meeting of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2021 is scheduled for this coming weekend at the Autodromo Nazionale of Monza and, in this race, Imperiale Racing will start its program in the single-make series reserved to the Lamborghini Huracàn Super Trofeo Evo fielding two cars.

Hans Fabri (NL) has been competing in the Super Trofeo since 2017 and with Imperiale Racing since 2018. He confirms his presence in LC Cup as the reigning champion of the category and is going to take part in the whole championship that will include six racing weekends for a total of twelve races, plus the Lamborghini World Finals that will take place in Misano. Fabri has claimed several podiums in his category and will use the usual #88 with the objective of continuing his successful experience behind the wheel of the cars made by the Sant’Agata Bolognese make.

Imperiale Racing will also field a second car on the iconic Italian circuit, the #44 managed in collaboration with Lamborghini Ginevra, that will be driven by Alberto di Folco (ITA), in preparation for his participation to the Italian GT Endurance Championship. This spot participation is part of a wider project and has been decided by the Mirandola-based team thanks to the important partnership with Lamborghini Ginevra, which is one of the biggest novelties of season 2021. Additionally, Imperiale Racing aimed to provide some continuity to its presence in the Super Trofeo Europe, a series the Italian team has always been competing in and has achieved some of the most prestigious results in its history.

The racing weekend will begin on Friday with two free practice sessions of one hour each at local 9:55 and 13:10. The pole position will then be battled out on Saturday at 10:40 (Q1) and 11:10 (Q2). Race one will get underway at 16:05, while race two will be on Sunday at 11:50.

The web channels of the Super Trofeo Europe and the socials of Lamborghini Squadra Corse will provide the live streaming feed of most of the weekend and particularly, they will cover the two races integrally.

Luca Del Grosso (Imperiale Racing – Team Manager):
“It is going to be good to take part in the first round of the Super Trofeo Europe with two cars on a circuit like Monza that we are very tied to. The collaboration with Lamborghini Ginevra has been successful so far and I am certain that the whole team will work hard for the great first real challenge on track in 2021, even though Alberto di Folco’s participation is going to be just a spot. The level of the Super Trofeo Europe is very high as usual, therefore from a sporting viewpoint it is going to be a good testbench ahead of the GT3 season. At the same time, we are very happy to continue our experience with Hans: the past few seasons have been quite successful and we won the LC 2020 title together. Our goal for 2021 is to keep the momentum and defend the title”.
