03.10.2019 – A few hours are left before Imperiale Racing’s engines will roar again at the International Circuit of Mugello where the closing act of the exciting Italian GT Championship Endurance 2019 is about to get underway.
The Italian team will field the two Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 Evo as both lineups will charge for their championships: Vito Postiglione (ITA), Jeroen Mul (NL) and Alex Frassineti (ITA) will hunt for the championship in the #63 car, while Pietro Perolini (ITA), Ben Gersekowski (AUS) and Emanuele Zonini (ITA) will target the victory in the Pro-Am category in the #19 car.
This is going to be a particularly exciting round on the 5.245 meters of the Italian circuit. The long start/finish straight leads to the heavy braking of the San Donato corner. The first sector is relatively flat and then it goes down-hill for the Casanova-Savelli, that is one of the most spectacular spots of the whole circuit. The two Arrabbiate corners introduce to the closing and slower part ending with the Bucine bend that rejoins the pit straight.
The program of the weekend will follow that of the round in Vallelunga. The three free practice sessions will be on Friday at local 11:00 and 14:10 and on Saturday at 9:00. The three qualifying sessions will be on Saturday starting from 15:00. They will define the initial pecking order for the Sunday race that will start at 14:45.
Fans can download the free ticket to watch the race live at the track from www.acisport.it/CIGT. The race will be covered live on the facebook page @CIGranTurismo, on AutomotoTV (CH 228 SKY). The race will also be broadcast by RAI Sport (CH 58 Freeview) following a schedule that will shortly be published on the website of the series.
Luca Del Grosso (Imperiale Racing, Team Manager):
“We have only one target.
We know it is going to be tough, but motorsport is full of challenges and we will fight for the highest possible result until the chequered flag is waved”.
