20.04.2022 – Waiting is over and Imperiale Racing is ready to get on track for the opening round of the Italian GT Sprint 2022 Championship that will get underway this coming weekend at the Autodromo Nazionale of Monza.

The Mirandola-based team announced a new drivers’ lineup that will be fielded in all the four rounds of the Sprint series: the Lamborghini Huràcan GT3 Evo #6 will be driven by Alberto Di Folco (ITA) and Stuart Middleton (GB), the #9 by Paul August (LTU).

The expectations are high due to the results obtained by the team in the past few seasons when Imperiale Racing has always been the protagonist of epic battles that often decided the result of the season in the closing meters.

Monza is the most famous circuit on the calendar and will be a great opening. The starting grid is of a very high level, which validates Imperiale Racing’s choice to be back in the Italian GT Championship. The Temple of Speed and its 5.793 emanate history from each and every corner, straight, braking point and will allow drivers and teams to convert the grit and motivation accumulated over winter into sheer performance.

Luca Del Grosso (Team Manager):
“The test held here in Monza last week has been very positive and confirmed the great feeling between Alberto and Stuart and Paul’s motivation and desire to do good things in his debut in Sprint racing. Monza is an atypical circuit, we know that high speeds and heavy braking force extreme setups compared to other circuits, but it is a racetrack that always produces exciting challenges. We are ready and cannot wait to measure ourselves to our rivals on the track”.
