30.03.2022 – Hans Fabri (NL) and Manuel Bejarano (ESP) will compete for Imperiale Racing in the 2022 season opener that will be the first round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2022. This event will take place at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit of Imola this coming weekend.

The Mirandola-based team got on track yesterday for a collective testing day to prepare the first challenge of the long and demanding 2022 campaign that will include also the Italian GT Championship with the two Lamborghini Huracàn Super Trofeo Evo 2: the #88 driven by Fabri and the #89 by Bejarano.

The circuit of Imola has been confirmed as part of the F1 calendar until 2025 and is certainly one of the most iconic racetracks in Italy. The first sector is quite fast after the Rivazza with the first heavy braking point at the Tosa uphill corner. The hilly conformation is one of the distinguishing features of the track as the Piratella blind corner that leads downhill to the Acque Minerali chicane. The Variante Alta introduces the final sector of the circuit with the legendary Rivazza that goes around the hill where millions of motorsport fans have watched the racing action over the decades.

The program of the weekend will kick off on Friday with two free practice sessions (at local 11:20 and 14:50), while the two qualifying sessions will begin on Saturday at 10:40 to define the pecking order of the two races. Race one will be on Saturday at 16:05, while race two will follow on Sunday at 11:50.

The races will be available on the YouTube Channel of Lamborghini Squadra Corse and on SKY Sport Action (Ch 206 SKY).

Luca Del Grosso (Team Manager):
“We are back to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with two cars and we are quite motivated and positive about the new campaign. We worked hard over the winter to define the program in the best possible way and we are very happy about contesting this new season with Hans Fabri and Manuel Bejarano. Starting from Imola, that is our home turf, adds further satisfaction and motivation to begin on a high note”.
