12.05.2023 – The Indian driver Mahaveer Raghunathan, class 1998, will complete the lineup behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 Evo for Imperiale Racing in the Italian GT Endurance Championship 2023, starting from May 19-21 at Pergusa.

Raghunathan will join the previously announced drivers Jack Bartholomew from the UK and Miguel Garcia from Paraguay, forming one of the youngest crews ever to represent the Mirandola team.

Making his debut in racing at the age of thirteen in formula cars in the JK Racing Asia Series, he has competed in important series such as Formula Renault 2.0 Alps, EuroFormula Open and, notably, GP3 in the 2016 season and FIA Formula 2 in 2019. In 2018, he debuted in sports prototype cars participating in the Michelin Le Mans Cup in the LMP3 category. Among his remarkable achievements are winning the BOSS GP in 2017 and finishing second in the Auto GP Formula Open in 2016. This will be his first time racing in a GT3 car. It should be noted that in 2021, he participated in a test with the Alfa Romeo C38, becoming the third Indian driver ever to drive a Formula 1 car.

Mahaveer Raghunathan:
“I’m really excited to join Imperiale Racing for the Italian GT Championship. The first test we did at Monza last month was very promising, and I cannot wait to start a season that I am sure will be full of satisfaction.”

Luca Del Grosso (Team Manager, Imperiale Racing):
“A warm welcome to Mahaveer. We are delighted to have reached an agreement with him for this season, and I am confident that together with Jack and Miguel, he will quickly find great chemistry to aim for important results. We are committed to providing all our determination and expertise to shorten his learning curve in GT3.”
