12.07.2023 – Imperiale Racing will be competing this weekend at the Misano circuit for the second round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup, continuing the experience in the premier European GT series after the remarkable top 10 finish last season.

As recently announced, the Mirandola-based team will field a Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 Evo, driven in the Bronze class by the paring made of Loris Spinelli (ITA) and Dmitry Gvazava (KGZ). Gvazava is also involved with Imperiale Racing in the Italian GT Sprint Championship, where he currently leads the Pro-Am class standings. Spinelli, last year’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Pro Cup champion, secured seventh place in the Pro class of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America presented by AWS. He claimed four podium finishes, three pole positions and four fastest laps.

The Misano World Circuit, dedicated to Marco Simoncelli, measures 4.226 kilometres and has hosted the MotoGP since 2007 during the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix weekend. The track is located on flat terrain and features a mix of sharp braking points and medium-high-speed corners, including the sequence from Curvone to the Carro braking zone.

The two races will be broadcast live on Sky channel 206 and streamed on the GTWorld YouTube channel.

Luca Del Grosso (Team Manager, Imperiale Racing):
“It is really great to be able to return to the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint, a championship where we made our debut last year and that has grown significantly in terms of visibility and participant level. We will all work towards achieving the best possible result, although we are aware that Loris and Dmitry, both strong drivers, will be experiencing the Bronze category for the first time. We are familiar with the Misano track, and we will give it our best push”.
